Meet The Cast

Mike is the “nice guy”, and he holds the title with distinction. Studying at university, Mike has left his rural hometown and headed to the big smoke to cut his own path into the world. Like most young people Mike is trying to find his place and what he wants to do with the rest of his life. This is not easy having to combat the chaos around him caused by best mate Jeff and the myriad of distractions caused by family, landlords, bosses and of course the world’s greatest mystery, women.

Laidback is a name often used to describe to Jeff, Mike’s best friend and roommate. Other words include lazy, unfocused but generally a friendly likeable lad! Jeff spends mosf of his days either finding ways to amuse himself, working odds jobs or trying to avoid doing odd jobs. While he admits he is not the sharpest tool in the drawer, he calls life as he sees it, contrasting his best friends overthinking.

Everyone has parents, lets face it. Marv and Madge are Mike’s parents, Madge is the quiet unassuming mum who wants nothing more than her boys to be happy, as long as it doesn’t muck her plans around. Marv is the tough as nails dad, with a 24/7 poker grin who isn’t likely show it but has a soft side… well somewhere…mainly his belly! Together they are parent version of good cop/bad cop!

A mercy dash from the farm to the boys house by Marv saved young Rosemary from becoming Madge’s lamb stew. Marv said he brought her to serve as the boys lawnmower, but it just revealed the old man does have a soft spot! Rosemary and Jeff have alot of fun while Mike has to play the bad guy so the house doesn’t get trashed too much!

P.J. is Mike’s newly acquired mate from uni, they catch the same train into uni and share the same course, it was fate! P.J’s always optimistic, even while standing at the train station at 6 in the morning!

Buckie

Buckie is the younger brother of Mike, the baby of the family, he is relishing in the fact life will be easier for him, as Mike has broken the parents in!

Mr Witsend

Property managers….Have a good one and life is good. Have a bad one and life can get complicated! Simply known to the guys as “the landlord dude”, Mr Witsend is the boys property manager, the man regularly checking up on the state of affairs in the house. His bluntness puts bowling balls to shame.
